Navy has been on my radar for some time now, a colour so much more flattering than black. Labelled as a bit of a flash in the pan when it first tipped over into a trend, its grown into a go to for those wishing to look cool. This season it's bang on the money with designers such as Celine and Jill Sander championing it. It rates high in the sustainable stakes because I think our love affair with navy has only just begun, a classic here to stay. I especially love my navy Guernsey Jumper purchased second hand last Autumn, super warm and cool to boot. And somewhat ahead of the curve as I notice Miss Moss was wearing one in this Months Vogue!

Hi there,
I am from Guernsey and have just written a dissertation on Guernseys. They are separate from Jerseys and were originally used to identify dead fishermen from the island by the patter of the Guernsey Jumper. There is a lack of information on them which is a shame because people confuse them with other fishermen knits!
Beautiful jumpers they are. X
They are simply guernseys, nothing to do with Jersey! They come from Guernsey! And they are brilliant!!
